Dickman, Witmer Named HL Cross Country Athletes of the Week

    Indianapolis, Ind. -- The Horizon League has announced that both YSU runners Justin Dickman (Van Wert, Ohio) and Kayla Witmer (Columbiana, Ohio) have been named Cross Country Athletes of the Week.
    Junior Justin Dickman finished in 28th while sophomore Kayla Witmer led the women's team placing 30th
    Dickman registered a 27:40 at Penn State’s 5.2-mile Spiked Shoe Invitational, good for 28th of 188 runners. He was the top finisher for YSU, leading the Penguins to an 8th place finish among the 14 teams in the meet. Dickman ran the fastest pace of any league runner last weekend.
    Witmer clocked a 6K time of 23:28 at Penn State’s Spiked Shoe Invitational, placing 30th of 187 runners. She was YSU’s top finisher and ran the fastest pace of any league runner last weekend.
