Breast Cancer Education and
Awareness
Zeta Tau Alpha National Philanthropy

...ZTA collegians
and alumnae distribute over one million waterproof shower cards annually
on April 1 identifying how to perform breast self examinations. ZTA
also distributes, both on campus and in the community, hundreds of breast
cancer awareness cards every October (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month).
ZTA supports all organizations committed to breast cancer research, education,
screening, and treatment.

Each year, more than 5,000 ZTA members volunteer at more than 180
Race For The Cure events.
Zeta Tau Alpha is affiliated with the Susan G.
Komen Breast Cancer Foundation which
ZTA adopted in 1992. Since 1992, ZTA has donated more than $1 million
to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation and has co-sponsored the National
Survivor Program, which recognizes and honors breast cancer survivors at
Race For The Cure events nationwide.

This year, 2007, is the 15th
year that Zeta Tau Alpha is a sponsor of the National Series Breast Cancer
Survivor Recognition Program at Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
Race For The Cure events nationwide. Zeta
Gamma Chapter members and the Youngstown Alumnae Chapter participate annually
at Race For The Cure held in Cleveland, OH. In addition, several
Youngstown Alumnae Chapter members run and walk in the Columbus, OH
Race For The Cure.
