Michael Reagle, Associate Vice-President
Your success is our success.
My responsibility is to assist you in any way that we can to persist on to graduation. A college degree changes the life of the individual as well as the lives of all those around them. It is an invaluable tool that opens doors for individuals that, more often than not, are locked without it. Our goal is to see every student graduate, to see every student graduate in the most efficient timeline (ideally 4 years) and to see every student graduate with the least amount of debt possible.
If there is anything at all that we can do for you, please do not hesitate to contact me. If something isn’t working, let us know. If we can do something better, let us know. And if in some small way we helped you to achieve your goal of getting a degree, let us know that too!
Best wishes on your journey to your degree!
Melodie Provencher, Administrative Assistant 2
My primary focus is on-campus student employment. If you are a staff or faculty member who is creating a new position for a student worker on campus, I can help guide you through the process. Also, if you need a student position advertised, I’m the one to call. For students who are beginning their very first job at YSU, I am one of several people in Student Life who can help you when you come to our office to complete all the necessary employment paperwork.
Whether you are a student worker, a staff member or faculty member, if you have a problem or question regarding any aspect of student employment on-campus, please feel free to e-mail me or call. What I don’t already know, I can usually figure out.
Melanie Leonard, Administrative Assistant 1
I help to process the paperwork for on-campus student employment. When a student is hired for the first time to work on campus, I am here to aid you in completing all the paperwork that is necessary for your on-campus job. From OPERS to the I-9, I am here to help walk you through the process. I also help to track student appointments by department. Once hired, if a student or a department has any questions regarding employment, I am more than happy to assist you in any way I can.
I also schedule appointments for the Counseling Center. The Counseling Center provides short term counseling, consultation, and referral services at no cost to our currently enrolled students. Appointments can be arranged in person through our office or by calling 330-941-3737, and are available Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. I am happy to offer assistance to any students who may wish to use this service.
