Upon completion of the Tech Prep program in Engineering Technology in high school and two years at Youngstown State University, you will receive an associate degree and be prepared for a career in one of the following areas:
· Electrical engineering technician
· Industrial engineering technician
· Electronics technician
· Quality control technician
· Computer Assisted Design and Drafting (CADD) technician
If you choose to exit the program after 12th grade, you will be qualified for a career as a:
· Computer Assisted Drafting (CAD) technician

Instruction includes significant hands-on, laboratory-based projects in the Tech Prep classroom, at YSU, and during visits to:
· Major automotive companies
· Broadcasting corporations
· Automated manufacturing firms
· Public utilities
· Heavy industrial manufacturers
· Providers of design services.
