I also received my Masters of Science and Social Administration Degree from Case Western Reserve University. Ms. TaRee Glenn-Avery Coordinator - 9 & 10th grade Upward Bound Students

Welcome to Upward Bound! My name is TaRee Glenn-Avery and I am the 9th & 10th grade Coordinator for Upward Bound. I completed my undergraduate degree at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, where I received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Humans Services.   As the Coordinator for the freshman and sophomore classes my responsibility is to assist our students in the development of their time management, study, goal setting, organization, test prep and test-taking skills.   I am also an Alumni of the Upward Bound @ YSU "Class of 2003", and have since four summers of Residential work with the program. My name is Melanie Angiuli and I am the 11th grade Coordinator, as well as Coordinator for the SCOPE program. The SCOPE program is targeted toward 11th grade students in Youngstown City and Parochial Schools. We work on ACT preparation, exploring career interests, declaring a major and completing admissions & scholarship applications. Ms. Christine Connors Coordinator - 12th grade Upward Bound Students

Welcome to Upward Bound! My name is Christine Connors and I am the coordinator for high school seniors. It is my responsibility to guide students throughout the college application process. During the senior year, students will finalize their college choice, submit formal applications and participate in financial aid workshops. It is our goal to provide support and guidance to students and parents as they prepare to transition to college life. I also coordinate the after school tutoring program. This program is offered throughout the school year and provides academic assistance and student mentoring to all participating Upward Bound students. I earned both a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and a Master of Science in Education at Youngstown State University. My professional experience includes college admissions and teaching for the Youngstown Board of Education.
