Conclude Fall Season in Sixth at IPFW Fall Classic

Ind. -- The YSU men's golf team
wrapped up their fall season on
Tuesday as they finished sixth at
the IPFW Fall Classic at Deer Track
Golf Course.
As a team the Penguins carded a three-round total of 901
(302-297-307) at the event.

Formeck Takes Medalist Honors in
Playoff at Detroit Titans Invite
Redford, Mich. --ord, Mich. --
It took 38 holes to determine a
winner at the Detroit Titans
Invitational, but freshman Samantha
Formeck edged out teammate Katie
Rogner on the second hole of the
playoff to take medalist honor at
Western Golf & Country Club.
Both Formeck and Rogner shot a 152 at the event, along with Meghan
Hunter of Ferris State.

Penguins Finish Fifth at
Leo Keenan Invitational
Olean, N.Y. -- The YSU men's golf team wrapped up
the St. Bonaventure Leo Keenan
Invitational on Monday after
finishing in fifth place, 18 strokes
behind Dayton who claimed the top
spot at Bartlett Country Club.
Entering day two of the event, the Penguins were tied for
10th with the St. Bonaventure Brown
squad, but a strong second-round
moved the team up five spots.

at Zippy Invitational

Following three rounds and a fourth
place finish by freshman Samantha
Formeck, the Youngstown State
women's golf team finished fourth at
the inaugural Zippy Invitational at
Rosemont Country Club on Tuesday.
As a team the Penguins carded a three round total of 966
(321-317-328) at the event.
