Softball Donates 300 Pink Onezies to Two Local Hospitals   
Youngstown -- The Youngstown State softball team continued its dedication to community outreach and service over the holiday season by donating 300 onezies to two Youngstown-area hospitals for distribution to new parents of baby girls.
The pink outfits, which display the official YSU athletics logo, were dropped off by the YSU coaching staff, players and administrators at The Childbirth Center at Northside  Medical Center and to Saint Elizabeth's Hospital of The Humility of Mary Health Partners. Release   
Softball to Hold Three Winter Hitting Camps   
Youngstown -- The Youngstown State softball team will host three winter hitting camps beginning in January, Head Coach Brian Campbell announced on Tuesday.
The camps, which costs $40 per participant, is open to girls in eighth through 12th grade and will be held at Sluggers Indoor Baseball and Softball Complex in Poland, Ohio. Release   
Softball Completes "Ring the Bell" Community Service Project   
Youngstown -- The Youngstown State softball team completed recently the "Ring the Bell" community service project to help raise money for The Salvation Army.
Members of the coaching staff and players volunteered from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in front of Wal-Mart in Austintown, Ohio. The softball program also visited the Park Vista Retirement Home. Release   
Softball Inks Fifth Recruit During Early Signing Period   
Youngstown -- Vicky Rumph (Palmerston, Ontario) is the fifth recruit to sign a National Letter of Intent during the early signing period to join the Youngstown State softball program, Head Coach Brian Campbell announced Wednesday.  Rumph joins Rebecca Bonola (Cibola, Texas), Sarah Gabel (Columbus, Ohio), Hana Somogyi (Chicago, Ill.) and Kayla Vallery (Atlanta, Ga.) in the 2009-10 recruiting class.  Release

Youngstown -- Youngstown State softball Head Coach Brian Campbell announced Friday the signing of Rebecca Bonola (Cibola, Texas), Sarah Gabel (Columbus, Ohio), Hana Somogyi (Chicago, Ill.) and Kayla Vallery (Atlanta, Ga.) to National Letters of Intent to join the Penguins softball program in the 2009-10 school year.  Release
