International Undergraduate Admissions 

We are pleased that Youngstown State University is among your academic choices and look forward to receiving your application in the near future. YSU provides open access to a high-quality and affordable education, offering a broad range of associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degrees and certificate nationally recognized and accredited programs (link to list of majors’ page). Moreover, YSU currently has the lowest tuition among Ohio's comprehensive public universities. At YSU, two 16-week semesters comprise the regular academic year which begins in late August. A 12-week session, and three 6-week summer sessions are also available.

For admission and tuition purposes someone is considered an international applicant if they are NOT a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, or do not hold refugee, or political asylum status. For those, who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, refuges or political asylum holders should apply for the domestic student application.
