Clayton Ketterer

Mechanical Engineering

Clayton is a junior at YSU majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He is from New Galilee, Pennsylvania and has been working at the ETC since May 2022.  Clayton is a member of  YSU's Honors College as well as the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. 

 

Elijah Buck

Mechanical Engineering

Elijah is a freshman at YSU majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He is from Sharon, PA and has been working at the Excellence Training Center since September 2022. Elijah is a member of YSU’s Honors College, is the Director of Member and Community Engagement of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity and is a mentor to the Sharon Highschool Robotics Team.

“The work I’ve been doing at the ETC has opened my eyes to new methods in engineering design and has given me the access to hands on learning with high-end equipment.”

 

Elly Volz

Business administration | Mechanical Engineering Technology

Elly has worked at the Excellence Training Center since August 2022. She is from College Corner, Ohio, a small town in southwest Ohio. While attending YSU she is majoring in Business Administration. Since joining the ETC she has had the opportunity to learn more about technology and manufacturing, which has led her to also pursue an associates in Mechanical Engineering Technology. 

"My favorite thing about working at the ETC is the hands-on learning style and hands-on technology. I have loved working at the ETC and have enjoyed the people I've met through working here."

 

John Barnyk

Electrical Engineering

John is a Sophomore at YSU majoring in Electrical Engineering in the computer track. He is from Harmony, Pennsylvania and has been working at the ETC since September 2022. John is a member of YSU's Honors College as well as the president of the YSU Clay Target Club.

 

Kevin Balella

HUman Resources Management

Kevin is a sophomore at YSU majoring in Human Resources Management. His hometown is Ravenna, Italy and has been involved with the ETC since November 2022. Kevin is a member of three business organizations and is the Communication and Public Relations chair of the International Student Organization (ISO).

"Starting my role at the ETC proved to me that this opportunity is an absolute career opener.  As a business major, I can benefit from the ETC as it offers me a firsthand look at how complex engineering solutions can be tailored to meet specific business needs in local manufacturing."

 

Zachary Arnett

Mechanical Engineering Technology

Zachary is pursuing a Mechanical Engineering Technology Bachelor’s degree. Zach is from Poland, Ohio and has worked at the ETC since November 2022. Interested in 3d Printing and other manufacturing techniques.

“Working at the ETC is an extremely valuable experience to get hands on techniques with machines that are at or far above industry standard, giving me a great insight into the technologies far beyond what I already have.”
