Our staff is dedicated to providing a safe and friendly, customer-oriented environment for the campus community. We are responsible for the maintenance of the lots and decks on campus, the issuance of permits and the enforcement of the rules and regulations adopted by the Board of Trustees. Services that we provide include jump-starting and unlocking vehicles, the loan of lug wrenches and gas cans to motorists through our Motorist Assistance Program. Assistance is available only to vehicles legally parked on campus. We also have an air station located in the M30 parking deck.


Services Provided

Disabled Vehicle Assistance

Disabled vehicle assistance is available if you need help with jump starts, lockouts or the loan of lug wrenches, jack stands or gas cans. Please call the MOTORISTS' ASSISTANCE PROGRAM at ext. 3051 or (330) 941-3051. Assistance is available only to vehicles legally parked on campus. We also have an air station located in the M30 parking deck.

Emergency Telephones

Emergency telephones are installed in most parking lots and other areas throughout campus. They are for emergency use only. Dialing is not necessary. When the receiver is lifted, a signal is automatically and instantly received in the YSU Police Department. The need for vehicle assistance does not constitute an emergency.

Make sure you have your permit displayed at all times when parking on campus.


Parking Decks

During Semester:
M-30 Deck located on Wick Avenue

  • Wick Entrance: Monday-Saturday 6 am - Midnight*  
  • Walnut Entrance: Monday-Friday 6 am - 10:30 pm

Sunday as scheduled

M-60 Deck located on the corner of Fifth & Arlington

  • Arlington Entrance: Monday-Saturday 6 am-10:30 pm*
  • Lincoln Entrance: Monday-Friday 6 am-10:30 pm
  • Break Hours: Monday-Friday 6 am - 6 pm, unless closed for repairs
